What is Form G-1145 and do I need to use it?
To begin with, it should be stated that Form G-1145 is not mandatory, you file for it on your will. This is the form that says that you are requesting a text message and/or an e-mail confirmation of the fact that your application or petition has been accepted by USCIS. It is free of charge to submit this form. All you need is to attach it to the front of your application or petition. Such an attachment can be used with Form I-90, Form I-130, Form I-485, Form I-765, Form N-400, etc.
You need to keep it in mind that there are some facilities in Lewisville, Texas; Chicago, Illinois; and Phoenix, Arizona that do not support the form.
