Form I-829 | Petition by Entrepreneur to Remove Conditions on Permanent Resident Status
Purpose of Form
If you have an entrepreneur green card, you will get a conditional permanent place of your residence, while other people who have a standard green card, can change their residency without problems. If you want to cancel this condition and get a standard green card, you should fill the appropriate form.
Special Instructions
In order to get a permanent green card, you should fill USCIS Form I-829 (Petition by Entrepreneur to Remove Conditions) 90 days before the initial green card expires. After filling this form, your green card will be automatically extended for six months. During this period USCIS will make a decision, whether they should give you a permanent green card. Your receipt for this Form will be proof of your status and you can use it to prove your status during this period.
