Form I-865 | Sponsor's Notice of Change of Address
Purpose of Form
There is a very important part of immigration processes in the US, which is also known as a sponsor. In fact, the sponsor is usually a person who guarantees that a particular citizen of another country who wants to move to the US will not become a burden on the US special assistance system. If the sponsor provides reasonable financial guarantees to the US, an immigrant can get a visa. However, it’s also important for the USCIS to understand the precise residence of the sponsor.
Special Instructions
If you are the sponsor and you want to change your address, you need to inform the USCIS of a change of address according to 8 U.S.C. 1183a(d) be filling USCIS Form I-865 (Sponsor's Notice of Change of Address).
