Form I-829 is intended for immigrant entrepreneurs to apply for the cancellation of the conditions of permanent resident status for dependents who received this status on the basis of investments in a new commercial enterprise. The applicant must submit this application within 90 days immediately preceding the second anniversary of receiving conditional permanent resident status.
