Download form I-942, request for a reduced fee. Form I-942 can be used if you want to file a request for a reduction in the application fee. You can do this if your household income exceeds 150%, but less than 200% of federal poverty standards at the time of your application. You do not need to file I-942 if you want to request full exemption from the fee. If you are eligible for a preferential fee, you are still required to pay the full biometric fee.
