You can use Form G-1145, E-Notification of Application/Petition Acceptance, to request an electronic notification (a text message/SMS or an email) from U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) when they accept your petition or an application form. For example, when you file Form I-751, Petition to Remove Conditions on Residence, you can file Form G-1145 with USCIS to get a notification on your email what was their decision on your application. USCIS usually sends the e-notifications within 24 hours after they made the decision. Note that if you are outside the United States, USCIS can only send an email, and they are not able to send a text message. But if you are located on the U.S. territory, you can receive both a text message and an email.
Here are a few tips on how to use Form G-1145:
- You should fill out the form in black ink; write block letters for better legibility.
- Clip your application form on top of the first page of your actual application or petition.
- Provide your full name, an email address, and a cell phone number in the form.
There is no need to add specific documentation to support your Form G-1145.
